House Team
A regularly-performing ensemble affiliated with a specific theater, typically auditioned from advanced students — the main path to performing longform publicly.
Known for
- UCB's house teams: Harold Teams (improv), Maude Teams (sketch), Lloyd Teams (junior improv), Betty Teams (character).
- iO's Harold Teams perform weekly Harold Night; historically the most competitive audition in improv.
- Unpaid — house-team slots are reputational/training currency, not a wage. Teams rehearse weekly and perform on a rotating schedule.
