Splat!
1980s-present ยท UK / global
Also known as Splat, Pie Splat, Custard Pie
Circle reflex game: a player in the center points and shouts 'Splat!' at someone, who must duck while the two neighbors splat each other; the slowest reactor is out.
Known for
- A staple opener in UK and Commonwealth drama classrooms, used to warm up voices and bodies and sharpen reflexes.
- The target ducks; the two players flanking them must 'pie' each other, and the slower of the two is eliminated.
- Endgame convention: the final two stand back to back and a 'category' duel (step forward on each valid item, splat on a non-member) decides the winner.
- Close cousin of the standoff game Bang!; both train focus, peripheral vision, and committed reaction over cleverness.

Notes
Mechanic value: pure reaction and focus, no scene content. Common as the very first activity of a youth or beginner session because it has zero talent barrier and instantly raises group energy.
