Tag Runs
1990s-present · New York / Chicago
Also known as Tag Out Runs, Montage Tag
Two players run a scene; other players tag in rapidly — often 6-10 tags in 90 seconds — each extending or flipping the previous beat.
Known for
- UCB signature move — teaches the tag-out as a closing device, not a transition.
- Different from Freeze Tag: no freeze call, just quick taps that reframe the ongoing joke.
- Classic scene-ender in Harolds — 'tag run it to button.'
- Level 3 UCB drill; 'Very Good Kiss' made this a cultural touchstone in NY.
