Two players initiate a scene and cut it off after exactly three lines of dialogue total, aiming to establish who/what/where/emotion as fast as possible.
Known for
- Core UCB teaching tool for strong scene initiations.
- Forces specificity — vague 'hello how are you' burns two of three lines.
- Often run as a rotation: pair goes, then next pair, no pauses.
- Variant 'Three Sentence Scenes' allows one sentence each, three performers.
