CONTESTED TERMINOLOGY. Many modern teachers refuse to use the word “pimping” regardless of technique — the gendered/exploitative framing is read as incompatible with post-2017 consent culture. The underlying technique (high-pressure on-the-spot demands) persists under names like ‘showering,’ ‘challenging,’ or simply ‘demanding.’
